Role: Graphic Design Intern

Duration: 12 weeks, Feb 2026 - Apr 2026

I was given the wonderful opportunity to work at Wolf Trap Foundation of the Performing Arts as a graphic design intern. This was a hybrid, part-time position that lasted twelve weeks. While I was there, I worked on over thirty projects ranging in size and complexity. The other interns and I would attend weekly seminars where we met the different departments at Wolf Trap and could hear their experiences and ask them questions. We also received tours of the Center for Education, the Barns, and the Filene Center. Along with those experiences at Wolf Trap, there was an excursion to the Folger Shakespeare Library which included a seminar with several employees there.

This internship was a great mix of real work and education. I was given a lot of responsibility and felt like my contributions were genuinely impactful. The weekly seminars and other activities taught me so much about Wolf Trap and gave me other invaluable information. Everyone I met here was friendly and eager to help or just have a chat. I'm extremely grateful for this experience and I know that I have grown as a graphic designer because of it.
